3 Lessons From Gita to Gain Your Self-Confidence

Reading Time: < 1 minute

To live an effective and a more fulfilled life, you need to have a “VERY IMPORTANT” quality called SELF CONFIDENCE. As we live in society that is highly competitive, we may feel that we lack our self esteem and we get more aggravated when we look at images of people who look more perfect than us. Many times, it may happen that you may lose confidence in yourself and slip into the bouts of doubt and insecurity.

On most occasions, we evaluate whether we’re good enough while comparing ourselves with others.

“The great thing is to have faith in oneself, even before faith in God; but the difficulty seems to be that we are losing faith in ourselves day by day,” says Swami Vivekananda.

This is NOT a pleasant sign indeed!

The Bhagavad Gita is an epic poem from the Mahabharta between a distraught warrior named Arjuna and Lord Krishna who counsels Arjuna at a time of despair. The bhagwad gita, which is a compilation of 700 verses, is said to have all the answers ONE need, and it has survived thousand of years but it is still been revered in today’s times.

“Counsel on self-confidence in our scriptures: We get guidance and stimulation from different scriptures and puranas on self-confidence”, says Swami Vivekananda

Sri Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita says “Shraddhavan labhate Jnanam tatparah sanyatendriyah”

In this podcast, I’ll provide you with three lessons from the bhagwad gita that will try to answer the following questions:

  • How to overcome the thoughts of doubt and insecurity?
  • How can you maintain a healthy level of confidence?
  • How do you avoid such situations to occur so that you can lead a more eventful life?
